Summary of Design Goals and Objectives:

•Successfully Renovate “1600 Pacific” as a “Centerpiece Mixed-Use Project” within


the CBD to help drive new retail/commerce, sales tax revenues and improve
downtown livability.

•Successfully Re-establish Pedestrian activity on Elm and Pacific Streets.

•Successfully develop a new Pedestrian Esplanade extension to link up Stone Street


with Thanksgiving Square and the Dart Rail.

•Successfully reconnect with the existing CBD tunnel system.

•Architecturally design and develop high quality exterior façades that generate
interest on Elm Street and are exciting at night.

•Architecturally improve existing streetscapes with new enhanced paving, urban


plant materials, furniture, graphics/mural art and water features.
