INTRODUCTION

Depression among Math Teachers in TSCHI

People nowadays are prone to depression and this major issues has a big impact through

humanities. This kind of problem in the society is mostly a burden to people who has

occupations or jobs. Depression is a serious medical condition in which a person feels very sad,

hopeless and unimportant and often unable to leave in a normal way. Some of us suffer from

depression and you yourself will just be a burden. Through depression, you’ll be away from

happenings and this sadness or the extreme emotion will take close, it also affect your mindset.

WE can say that a person is depress through his or her action and on how he or she communicate

with each other and even the way they threat a particular person. Depression sometimes need to

attempt of suicide, or death, most of the victim commits suicide, because of what they’ve been

experience. Committing suicide is too harsh to every individual suffering from depression.

Depress person are very sensitive in terms of their feelings and that depression may also attract

illness or pains. For the reasons that depression may ruin your entire life and you’ll mostly think

negative and assume that your live is miserable depressions occur in many different ways, for

example; The teacher’s, most of them suffer from depression special when there handling math

subject and most of the student are having a hard time to understand math, and I possess a hard

time in learning math, and that the main reason of why are depressed. It’s when they gave all of

their best just for the sake of the student’s. But then it’s just end for nothing. Depression really

kills you slowly.

Statement of the Problem

This study is conduct to investigate the reason why the math teacher in Tanauan School

of Craftsmanship and Home Industries (TSCHI) experience depression.

This study aims to answer the following question:

1. What is "Depression"?

2. What is the effect of depression?

3. What are the causes of depression?

4. What are the benefits of the teacher when they are depress?
Significance of The Study

The research believes that this study will be beneficial to those concerned to the

development of the teachers. It is hoped that the result will be of great value to all depression.

To the teachers

The math will avoid or be aware to the depression that they are suffering.

To the researcher

The study gives them an idea on how to conduct and write a research paper that we enroll

in higher education. And learn new knowledge about depression.

Hypothesis

The alternative in this study states as there is significant relationship between the effect of

the depression to the math teacher in Tanauan School of Craftsmanship and Home industries

(TSCHI).
Scope and Delimitation

The study of our given research is focused on the selected math teachers that are

experiencing depression in their service here in Tanauan School of Craftsmanship and Home

Industries TSCHI.

Home Industries

The respondents of the study are the selected mathematics teachers; it's either male or

female.

Math teachers of Tanauan School of Craftsmanship and Home Industries in the year

2017-2018.

Math teachers are bullied by the students because of they hate

math and they don’t have interest to listen to their teachers.

That’s why they tend to make fun of the topic. Because of

depression, the math teachers are short tempered. This is also

the reason why the math teachers loses the appetite in forming

their students to become a better learners of math.

 CHAPTER 2

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that

negative effect on how you feel, the way you think and the way you act. Fortunately, it is also

locatable are treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and for a loss of interest in

activities once enjoyed. While some illness have some specific medical cause, making treatment

straight forward, depression is more complicated. Depression is not just the result of a chemical

imbalance in the brain that can be simply cured in medication. It is cause by a combination of

biological, psychological, and social factors. For some people bout of depression begins will

symptoms of anxiety (such as worrying a lot), sadness or lack of energy... And other people may

feel depress suddenly.

The symptoms of depression range from mild to severe. At its mildest, you may simply

feel persistently how in spirit. While severe spirit can make you feel suicidal, That no longer

worth living most people experience feeling of stress, Unhappiness or anxiety among difficult

times.

Data Gathering

Step 1: We decided to gather data to choose and know what type of research we'll use.

Step 2: Knowing how many respondents will answer our survey.

Step 3: Searching for reliable sources information about our given topic or issue.

Step 4: Making our survey through the use of information that we gathered.

Step 5: Collecting the information we gather to form paragraphs to fill in the research

paper.

Step 6: When we were finished in writing our research paper we and some of friend of

ours helped to review our research paper for more corrections of misspells and

grammatical errors we as.

Step 7: finalizing the information in our research paper. Step 8: We set the location, time,

date in doing surveys.

Type of research

By the help of website and social media, we gathered some information about research

design and not only that but we also confronted people that have idea. As we observed, the type

of research we used is qualitative research. Qualitative research is telling something about the

behavior of the behavior of the TSCHI math teacher.

Location

The Tanauan School of Craftsmanship and Home Industries (TSCHI) is one of well-

known school in Tanauan because of its artistic arts and crafts made by our fellow students.

Teachers nurture the student well. Tanauan School Craftsmanship and Home Industries (TSCHI)

is leaded by the outstanding principal, Mr. Richard L. Laurente. One of the reason why we

choose this school for our survey because some of the math teachers from depression cause by

their students, who are having difficulty in solving or understanding in mathematical equation.

For them, math is intimidating subject that's why they tend to ditch classes or ignore the teacher.

That is probably the main reason why math teacher are suffer from depression. So therefor that

we conclude that students seems to lose their enthusiasm with math subject and that what makes

this a very good place to conduct our survey.

 CHAPTER 3

Research Respondent

The respondents are suffering from depression. They are always angry. They get mad

easily especially when they're in class. It seems to be hopeless, lonely and often times they are

out of their mind. They are always mad and feel unimportant and often is unable to live in a

normal way, sometimes they act so weird, they just don't know what to do. Depression has a big

impact on our respondents. We choose math teachers as our participants because they are

the ones having difficulty in teaching the students to deeply understand the math subject and they

are the ones who mostly experience depression.

Research list

The type of instrument that we used in our research paper is the survey paper. Survey

paper is very important in research because by this, we gathered some important information

about the issue or topic.

Validation of List

The team fighter decided to have a discussion or to do or work in Arjun's house but

because we don't have enough knowledge about making a survey, our team asked some help to

Arjun's sister and mother to correct our grammars and as well as our surveys.
