INTRODUCTION
Love Jihad, also called Romeo Jihad, is an alleged activity under which young
Muslim boys and men are said to allegedly target young girls belonging to non-
Muslim communities for conversion to Islam through trickery and expressions
of false love. In India hundreds of Hindu girls fall in Love Jihad trap by the
Muslim youths who take a Hindu pseudonym to grab their targets. Modern
Love Jihad conspiracy has roots in the 1947 partition of India. This partition led
to the creation of the sovereign states of the Dominion of Pakistan (it later split
into the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the People's Republic of Bangladesh)
and the Union of India (later Republic of India). The creation of two countries
with different majority religions led to large-scale migration, with millions of
people moving between the countries and rampant reports of sexual predation
and forced conversions of women by men of both faiths.Women on both sides
of the conflict were impacted, leading to "recovery operations" by both the
Indian and Pakistani governments of these women, with over 20,000 Muslim
and 9,000 non-Muslim women being recovered between 1947 and 1956.
Allegations of Love Jihad first rose to national awareness in September 2009.
Love Jihad was initially alleged to be conducted in Kerala and Mangalore in the
coastal Karnataka region.
ETHICAL REVIEW
DISCUSSION
Love jihad has a great impact on general society.Inter religious love and
relational unions are a precarious issue. They challenge different standards and
traditions and stimulate interests of religious fundamentalists. The risk of such
affections has regularly brought about built battles, communicating the tensions
and numerous awesome debates in the general public. The thought of 'love
jihad' has been humming as of late in India. Emerging in a foundation of
national religious pressure, the affirmed action depends on the force of
passionate request in religious change. The questionable issue has collected
universal consideration. As an after effect of this issue, different associations
consolidated against this apparent lead and to make individuals mindful of this
issue. Numerous Muslim associations in Kerala called love jihad a "malicious
misinformation campaign".
In Kerala, Karnataka and Delhi, associations like the Rashtriya Swayam sevak
Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Sri Ram Sene, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi
Parishad and Hindu Janjagruthi Samiti have been holding gatherings, circulating
handouts and notwithstanding documenting court cases, pronouncing that the
association, as a major aspect of an Islamist scheme, has formulated
arrangements for enthusiastic and tricky religious transformations by winning
over youthful Hindu and Christian girls.

The political heads of love jihad need to change over the whole world to Islam
through religious governmental issues. Love Jihad, in every one of its structures
is liable to stay for an extended period. It is a war of weapons, as well as of
society and mores.
LITERAUTURE REVIEW
In the article “Hindu women,Muslim men: Love Jihad and conversions” written
by Charu Gupta ,highlights the issue of love jihad . Over the last few years in
India goes under the startling name of ‘Love Jihad’.‘Love Jihad’ crudely but
effectively argues that Muslim men are waging jihad in India through so-called
love marriages. The young men apparently waging war through love, through
the capture of innocent Hindu women , also referred to as ‘Love Romeos’ . The

campaigns construct an image of the Muslim male as aggressive, and broadcast
a series of stereotypes and repetitive motifs, creating a common "enemy" - the
Other. The luring of Hindu women by Muslim men is stated to demonstrate the
"lack of character" of the sexually charged, lustful Muslim men, violating the
pure body of Hindu women Religious groups have utilized techniques like love
bombing and Flirty Fishing to interest potential recruits.
The Hindu Janajagriti Samiti has published a booklet, LOVE JIHAD, written
by Ramesh Hanumant Shinde and Mohan Ajju Gowda and in that booklet, the
authors have discussed the entire process how the Love Jihad agenda are being
operated. At the very outset, it should be mentioned that the Muslim
organizations operating in India receive huge money from Gulf countries to run
the Love Jihad campaign. The Muslim Romeos are heavily rewarded for
successfully seducing and converting non-Muslim girls into Islam. The Hindu
girls, who have migrated to the city from villages, are found to be easy prey.
These poor girls normally do not have enough money to buy costly dresses to
match the city life. “These girls are specifically targeted and given money. They
are also lured into addictions like smoking and drinking alcohol etc. These girls,
who are ensnared in Love-Jihad, become helpless and soon begin to assist in
ensnaring other Hindu girls

CONCLUSION
The concept love jihad has remained a source of political contention and social
concern for many, although the idea of an organized Love Jihad was still widely
regarded as a conspiracy theory by the Indian mainstream. The name itself is
kind of self-explanatory in nature , when you add JIHAD (struggle) to anything
now a days it gives an impression of war , destruction terrorism etc and you put
a word like LOVE in front of it anybody can get an idea that Muslims are doing
something bad again. At the end I want to conclude by saying it is upto the
women whom they want as their partner and not upto the religious cult to decide
the girl whom she should marry.
