ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

I. Title of the Project:

Learning Action Cell of Araling Panlipunan/Social Sciences Department (LAC
Session)

II. Specific Agenda:

To conduct a two-hour series of discussion, open forum, sharing and brainstorming
with the coordinators, the school head, and teachers of Araling Panlipunan and
Humanities and Social Sciences.

III. Specific Strategy:

Gathering all the concerned teachers to deliver and conduct the agenda concerning
curriculum and instruction.

IV. Rationale
An institutionalized program under the DepEd Order 35, s. 2016 as K to 12 Program-
based continuing professional development strategy for the improvement of teaching
and learning.

V. Objectives
This program aims to:
1. Gather Social Sciences teachers;
2. Talk about updates and relevant programs concerning Social Sciences/Araling
Panlipunan;
3. Implement/conduct programs/innovation/researches/resources that will aid
teachers in Araling Panlipunan/Social Sciences relevant to the existing curriculum
and memoranda;
4. Harmonize teachers.

VI. Methodology
1. Formulate a proposal and a program matrix of the activity;
2. Conduct a planning meeting with the persons involved (subject coordinator,
proponent, and school head and community representative if any);
3. Inform AP and HUMSS teachers on the date and schedule;
4. Prepare for the logistics needed;
a. Laptop;
b. Projector;
c. Workshop materials (if any);
d. Certificates of recognition for the speakers.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm February 8, 2018 (Thursday)
 VIII. Target Participants
6 teachers in AP, 1 SHS focal person, 1 JHS OIC head, 1 school principal, 1
community stakeholder representative.
