We’ll start all together to sing/dance and read: Opuestos Mexican
Folk Art Opposites in English and Spanish by Cynthia Weill.
Then, we’ll split in 4 groups: Kindergarteners, First graders,
Second graders, Third graders.
1. Listening and practice activity: Students will be listening to
sentences in Spanish (and English) and will try to find the images being described. Students will use dry erase markers to circle the images found on the page below!

2. Scavenger Hunt: Students will enjoyed a
scavenger hunt using the images from the book mentioned above. These are the QR codes they will be scanning. 3. Matching Cards: We’ll give students a few images and they will have to find their opposite match and glue it onto a sentence strip. Download and images credit to: ChileLindo
4. Swat the match: students will flip a card and find the match on a mat. When found, they swat the match with a fly swatter!
