The New York’s Museum of Sex has enlightened, educated and titillated people with the
knowledge on sexuality due to the variety of exhibits that covers all sexuality topics. In the past
13 years, the sex museum has been critical in creating awareness regarding sexuality. The paper
will provide insight to the life-size sculptures by Rune Olsen that illustrates the sex lives of
copulating animals. The sex exhibit consists of a deer threesome, created by the Norwegian
Artist in a stunning and exemplary manner (Moye). The sculpture depicts the Sex Lives of
Animals as it tries to compare and contrast the sexual behavior of human beings and animals.
The centerpieces showcase the amazing ability of the artist to convey his message through art.
The Sex Lives of Animals is an exhibit that demonstrates the sexual behavior of animals.
The display comprises of an uncensored deer threesome. The exhibit depicts animal sexuality
further from the restraints of reproduction and mating to the elements of orientation and
cognition. Numerous research in the field of animal behavior illustrates that animals take place
in an incredible array of sexual behaviors, acknowledging that sex is more than a biological
intention to reproduce. Shockingly, sexual partnerships and sexual acts of animals exists in
numerous ways. They include cuddling, kissing, hugging, or even self and mutual stimulation.
Furthermore, animals might also take part in oral sex or any other form of penetrable intercourse.
Sex that occurs is the animal kingdom has no much difference with sex in the human realm.

subjects. It remains challenging for people to interpret animal sexuality in a social context.
Animal sexuality in primates is more of utilitarian rather than personal. The exhibit illustrates the
egalitarian story of the natural world that attempts to bring the meaning of animal sexuality. The
museum of sex is critical because it consists of thousands of exhibits that create awareness of
animal sexuality. Olsen showcased his excellent skills and a gifted talent in creating the
sculpture.
