Esta película se basa en una historia real de Doss un joven que tenia una familia
de 4 personas.
Su padre es un ex militar de las fuerzas armadas de los Estados Unidos que se
dedicaba a el alcohol y maltrataba a sus hijos y a su esposa.
Cuando crece empieza su vida de salvar vidas primero salva a un mecánico que
casi muere aplastado por un vehículo y al llevarlo al hospital conoce a una chica
llamada Dordins que se convertiría en su esposa.
Luego de unos meses Doss decide ingresar al ejercito para servir a su patria en la
segunda guerra mundial, pero surgen una serie de problemas como no querer
agarrar un arma porque él tenía creencias católicas.
Lo obligan a usar un arma, pero él no acepta y le hacen un juicio por
desobediencia, en el juicio su padre que era un héroe nacional ayuda a Doss para
que vaya a la guerra como medico sin tocar un arma y sin disparar.
En la guerra en Okinawa Doss llega a salvar a mas de 70 hombres siempre con a
bendición de Dios y lo condecoran un héroe nacional.

This movie is based on a true story of Doss a young man who had a family of 4
people.
His father is a former member of the armed forces of the United States who
engaged in alcohol and mistreated his children and his wife.
When he grows he starts his life to save lives first he saves a mechanic who
almost dies crushed by a vehicle and when he takes him to the hospital he meets a
girl named Dordins who would become his wife.
After a few months Doss decides to enter the army to serve his country in the
Second World War, but a series of problems arise as he does not want to grab a
gun because he had Catholic beliefs.
He is forced to use a weapon, but he does not accept and he is sued for
disobedience, in the trial his father who was a national hero helps Doss to go to
war as a doctor without touching a gun or firing.
In the war in Okinawa Doss comes to save more than 70 men always with a
blessing from God and they award him a national hero.
