EXPERIENCE
Student Teacher (Westwood Elementary in Spring Branch I.S.D.) August 2017 until present
 I am a student teacher in a first grade class. I have taught lessons for all subjects. I have utilized whole class and
small group teaching strategies. My mentor teacher and I use co-teaching practices to maximize student learning.
Student Observer Fall 2015- Spring 2017
 I was able to observe classes in different types of school across Houston. I observed grades from PreK-3 up to
third grade in schools such as Title I, Charter, Montessori, and private schools along with preschool programs.
Nanny / Tutoring November 2013- May 2017
 I lived with the family for four years and taught French to their two children. I worked for 2 to 3 hours daily and
spent 6 to 10 hours with them during the weekend. I started speaking both English and French with the children
the first few months then only spoke French to them. Some strategies that I used, using French included repetition
of key terms, identification of objects, involvement of children in games, and reading books. They became fluent
in French.
Baby-sitting October 2008 until present
 I started babysitting when I was 13 years old. I babysat for many families who had one, two, three or four
children. I have taken care of children as young as 3 months old up to 11 years old.
 I always worked with children in activities that did not include watching television. I involved children in crafts,
drawing, coloring, games, and I read books with the children.

crafts with them.
