UTM requires a new stand for its soccer and rugby field. An initial proposal is to have a series of castellated beams simply supported on a series of rectangular hollow sections at the rear and four Pratt trusses at the front, as shown in Figures (a), (b) and (c). You are required to work in groups and carry out the design of the structural elements of the new stand. You may propose other new stand and use different type of cross-sections. However it should conform to the original proposed dimensions. Further briefing may be given in the class. All groups must submit the complete works before 4.00 pm Friday of week 14.
