Southwest Monsoon (Hanging Habagat)

Warm moist winds from the southwest causing rains over the western portion
of the country from May to September.

Characterized by heavy rainfall that may last for a week. Brings rainy season
to the western portion of the Philippines.

Northeast Monsoon (Hanging Amihan)

Cold winds blowing from the northeast direction. It causes cloud development
and rainfall at the eastern section of the country. It normally occurs during the
months of November to February.
