GEOCHEMISTRY

In this field of study, different software such as Sirius Novva and Schlumberger
Petromod were used mainly, which require certain items to carry out fundamental
analysis in this study, all subject to the information provided from the different
wells, highlighting the total carbon content organic matter (TOC), the reflectance of
the vitrinite, temperature, age and lithology of each formation. For more accurate
results and more extensive and detailed reports, greater volume and variety of data
is required.

The most important items to obtain are the starting point for any geochemical
analysis in a basin.

 Type of kerogen
 Burial history
 Maturation (vitrinite reflectance and temperature)
 Petroleum system

Type of kerogen: A type III / III type III, typical of a basin with isolated
accumulations of organic matter of up to 6% was obtained, classifying it as mature
to moderately mature, thus corroborating the high readings of dry gas evidenced in
the base of data.

Burial history: In this item it is possible to observe the main action carried out
subsequently to the lower Cretaceous, mostly affected by a process of
sedimentation and relatively calm deposition, typical of a calm environment with
some stratigraphic tectonic influence

Maturation: It is evident that as the depth and temperature increase, the

reflectance of the vitrinite tends to present a less irregular behavior with respect to
the curve projected by the Petromod software, contrary to this it approaches more
and more the established graphical prediction, readings most of them exceeding
3% reflectance show a dry gas, concordant according to the gas type analysis
obtained in some of the wells.

Petroleum system: Establishing the critical point of the system during the lower
Cretaceous, in this case the formation BARROW GROUP
