A critical evaluation of new media technologies in selling

football broadcasting rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia


(KSA)

Research Aims and Objectives

Aim 1:

- To critically evaluate the current methods and systems of selling the football

broadcasting rights used by the Saudi Football Federation (SFF).

Objectives:
1- To identify the rules and regulations followed by SFF/affiliated clubs in selling
football broadcasting rights.

2- To find out the current methods utilised by SFF to sell its football broadcasting
rights to the broadcasters.

3- To evaluate the economic gains for the SFF and its affiliated clubs achieved
through the current methods of selling broadcasting rights

Aim 2:

To devise a new method of selling football broadcasting rights to broadcasters using


new media technologies.

Objectives:

1- To determine the factors which motivate broadcasters using new media


technologies to buy FBR in KSA
Aim3:

To critically evaluate the barriers in selling FBR as well as watching football matches
using new media technologies in the KSA.

Objectives:

To determine what are the barriers that prevent new technologies from becoming a
new method for the selling of the football broadcasting rights
