SUBJECT : Spot Report of Stabbing Incident that resulted

to the Death of Jeric K. Costales

DATE : March 7, 2018

1. On March 7, 2018 at about 9:16 am in the morning a stabbing incident has

transpired at Yellow Village, New Isabela, Tacurong City wherein one Jeric K. Co, 25
years old, married, accountant and a resident of 08 Molave St., New Isabela, Tacurong
City. As a result, thereof, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds in different part of
his body and was rushed to St. Louis Hospital for medical treatment but was
pronounced dead in arrival (DOA) by the attending physician. The suspect was arrested
after the incident and the weapon used is recovered and he is now under the custody if
this police office for investigation and proper disposition. The cadaver was moved to the
PNP Crime Laboratory Service for autopsy examination.

2. The Motive of the incident is undetermined and the case is still under
investigation.

1. Reference: Incident recorded in Patrol Section Incident Logbook with Entry

No. 2018-45, dated March 6, 2018.

2. Request be informed that about 10:35 of March 6, 2018, the motorcycle of

Mr. Philip John N. Espartero, bearing Plate No. 2802 MM, colored red, while parked in
front of his house, It’s tires, for unknown reason, was pierced with a nail causing it to be
flat. The suspect was caught and arrested and is now on the custody of the police
office.

FACTS OF THE CASE:

(Shooting) : Philip John N. Espartero, 20 years old, single, of Prk. Sampaguita,

New Isabela, Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat. Reported to this office that he was being
shot by Chris John Rivera, 19 years old, on or about 5:30 a.m. this date. The cause of
the incident was due to Mr. Rivera being highly intoxicated of alcohol and challenged
Mr. Espartero to a fight that he has refused. Making Mr. Rivera mad and allegedly shot
Mr. Espartero

Entry No. 01-1245/ March 6, 2018/ 7:30AM: Person of PHILIP JOHN

ESPARTERO appeared in this office and reported that the suspect who shot him was
CHRIS JOHN RIVERA.

System (ROAS) in the forthcoming CY 2018 PO1 Recruitment Program of the PNP.

3. Please be informed that the Recruitment Online Application System is a web-

based and central recruitment application system that will simplify the submission of
accomplished PNP PO1 Application Form. It will also address queries regarding the
recruitment process. Further, this system will greatly help applicants to minimize the
hassle or stress in applying to become police officer.

4. In this regard, advise your Chief, Recruitment Officer to utilize the ROAS in the
CY 2018 Recruitment Program and make necessary advance information dissemination
to the public regarding its implementation.
