Why is it necessary to maintain the skills you have and are motivated to use?
The reasons it is necessary to maintain the skills that I have and are
motivated to use are to keep my skills updated and ever improving. I
believe that through maintaining my skills, I am using them regularly and
many of them have become second nature to me. Other skills, Digital
Literacy, need to be maintained by keeping them up to date. The digital
world is always updating/evolving so it is imperative to keep updating my
skills.
How can you build skills you want to use but need to develop further? What
activities or experiences will help you to build these skills? Refer to the
section “What have you Done?” in this chapter for skill building
environments?
I can build the skills I need to develop further by continuing with my
education. Continuing my education will help me build my Working with
Numbers, Computer Literacy, Time Management and Multi-tasking
skills. While I am continuing my education, I am able to work as a
Teaching Assistant, which helps me build my Teach, Train, Customer
Service, and Mentor skills.
Through my other employment I will continue to build and developed the
skill of Research Online, Act as Liaison, Make Arrangements, Maintain
Record, Plan and Organize, Make Decisions and Dealing with
Ambiguity.
I will be joining Phi Beta Lambda business and leadership club this
month. Phi Beta Lamba will not only help me maintain many skills I
already have but build on the skills I need to improve.
