4. Risks; By HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE. INHALATION of the vapours may

B. Handling of Waste

Packaging, Transporting and Storage connection with heat, fire can start up. Secure the
drums tightly when loaded on the truck. Secure
the drums with plastic wrapping.

4. Recommended Method of Disposal The waste must be disposed of according to


current legislation
C. Spill or Leak causing Generally: If there is any personal injury or symptoms of
Personal Injury poisoning occur, seek medical assistance, show this card.
Ensure that the medical assistance is aware of the nature of
the substance in question, and takes precautions to protect
themselves.

1. In Case of Inhalation of Symptoms of toxication may be dizziness, nausea, vomiting,


Fumes or Oral Intake unconsciousness, cough, difficulties in breathing and fever.
Symptoms of Intoxication, By inhalation of the fumes, remove the victim into fresh air.
Appropriate First Aid By oral intake give plenty of water and make person vomit
Guidelines for the Physician after every intake of water. Do not give unconscious persons
water or make them vomit. If victim is not breathing, apply
artificial respiration. Effects of exposure to waste may be
artificial respiration. Effects of exposure to waste may be
delayed, therefore victim must be kept under observation for
at least 24 hours.
2. In Case of Dermal Contact Symptoms of toxication may be blushing, pains, stings and
or Contact with Eyes eye flux. Contaminated clothes etc, must be removed

D. Spill or Leak causing Generally: In case of emergency/fire CALL BOMBA 994,

BOMBA/Police is requested to notify the water treatment
plants and nearby residential areas. Spillage in water must be
sucked up. The spillage must be collected and disposed of
according to current legislation

3. Fire Toxic gases may be produced. Cool closed drums with water.
Drums may burst when subjected to heat, causing more fire.
Extinguish fire with water, dry powder, foam or fog. Avoid
extinguishing agents entering sewer, water streams etc.
