Universal Design for Learning (UDL): In the Kahoot review, you can find that the questions have pictures.
This is to allow the students that struggle with reading to be able to still answer. The wording is very simple so
that all students can understand what is being asked also. The questions also switch to descriptions to see if
the student can be pushed and identify the names of the geography.
Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will introduce
the SRT activity.
The review will come after students have been taught and understand all aspects of the geography unit.
Before the review is given the class will go over the different geography formations so that all students are
warmed up to work individually.
Describe the purpose of the SRT activity (check all that apply):
☒ Assess prior knowledge ☐ Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) ☐ To illuminate common
misconceptions ☐ Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) ☐ Summative assessment of content knowledge ☒ Test preparation
☐ Survey/Poll ☐ Discussion starter ☐ “Homework” collection ☐ Other (please explain):

Student Response and Assessment Tools
Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: Each student will have their own device. If a
student’s device is not working, the teacher will give them a device from the school. Each student will be
working individually. The teacher will allow all students to put the code in and will read each question to the
student before the timer begins.
Reflective Practice: Students seem to not enjoy a test that is pencil and paper. I believe that this activity and
review gives the students a new perspective on how test questions should not frighten them. The questions
are questions that they might have to take on paper the next, but the students will be comfortable after
having a fun review the day before.
