Course Syllabus: Semester I, 2017/2018
Course Description
This course is a general introduction to the organization and function of animal body. The lab
work illustrates materials discussed in lecture and use method, three hours lecture and three
hours lab.
Course organization
This course will include lectures and discussions. Students will be assessed through assignments,
presentations, projects and tests.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the students will be able to do 80% of the following:
Understand control mechanism and organization of animal body
Distinguish one body system from the others
Identify the kinds of nutrients and the role they play in the body
Compare and analyze organ systems of various animal species
Understand the interactions of these species with their environments
Class Policy
Attendance
a. It is required for each student to submit all assignments on the date stipulated and on
time.
b. Assignments will be collected at the beginning of class on the scheduled date.
c. Assignments are to be done on Plain Sheets, with no student writing at the back of the
paper. All Assignments are to be stapled. Using unequal sheets for assignments is
prohibited.
Professional Behavior
It is expected that all students will act in a professional manner at all times. Professional
behavior includes but not limited to the following:
Academic Dishonesty
It is expected that each student will adhere to the highest standard of academic honesty.
Plagiarism and cheating are forbidden. These offenses are dealt with as stipulated in the
undergraduate catalog.
Special Needs
Students with disabilities that have the natural tendency to interfere with lessen in this class can
negotiate with the instructor for reasonable alternatives in accommodating said student.
