i. PRE-LESSON : Teacher pre-teach some phrases related to asking for information
about jobs.
ii. LESSON : Pupils work in pairs to choose the most enjoyable jobs.
DEVELOPMENT They then share their opinions on the jobs they prefer and provide
reasons for their preference.
Each pair shares their discussion with the class and other pairs have
to ask 3 questions related to the jobs mentioned.
iii. POST-LESSON : Pupils search for more information on the jobs they had chosen
earlier.

i. PRE-LESSON : Pupils listen to a conversation between two mothers about the
household chores they do at home.
Pupils identify the chores mentioned in the conversation.
ii. LESSON : Pupils share about the chores they have done and never done at

Pupils work in pairs. They take turns to ask and answer questions
about at least one of the chores they do at home. Pupils pick up
WH-cards as prompts to ask questions.
Pupils exchange partners and repeat step (2).
iii. POST-LESSON : Pupils discuss the reasons why teenagers nowadays dislike doing
household chores and list their opinions on the board.

ii. LESSON : Teacher informs pupils they are going to listen and repeat phrases

In pairs, pupils discuss and identify at least 6 jobs and chores in the
textbook by putting them in the right column.
In pairs, pupils choose and explain 2 reasons for the most and least
enjoyable jobs and chores.
iii. POST-LESSON : Each pair exchanges their ideas with others.
Homework: write a journal on their favourite jobs and chores.

i. PRE-LESSON : Teacher sings a song and pupils guess the singer.
Pupils tell what they know about the singer.
ii. LESSON : Teacher assigns pupils into 5 groups. Each group will be given a
DEVELOPMENT simple biography of a famous personality.
Pupils read the given biography in their respective groups and
extract 3 key information needed to describe the personality.
Each group takes turns to describe their famous personality while
the others pose questions.
Next, teacher conducts a game – the poison box. Pupils are to pass
the box around until the music stops. The pupil holding the box will
have to take out a card with the name of a famous personality and
give 3 opinions or feelings about him/her without revealing his/her
name.
Other pupils will have to guess this personality.
iii. POST-LESSON : Teacher asks pupils to talk about their favourite personality to their
classmates.

i. PRE-LESSON : Pupils complete 3 puzzles of different famous personalities in
Malaysia.
ii. LESSON : Pupils are assigned into groups.
DEVELOPMENT Each group will be given a set or newspaper/magazine.
Pupils need to choose one famous personality that they can find
from the newspaper/magazine given.
Pupils read and list 3 achievements of the famous personalities.
They then present their work to the class in groups while other
groups pose questions on the personality presented.
iii. POST-LESSON : Pupils choose one famous personality as their idol.
They are to describe their idol and give 3 opinions or feelings about
him/her.
