Moving Men’s Mountains by Faith in God 2( Mark 11:22-25)

By meditation we get the word of God beyond our heads into our hearts.
Matthew 4: 4 says that, “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of
God.” What food is to our body, the word of God is to our souls and spirits. We must do all in our power to
feed our spirits three hot spiritual meals daily. This helps to be spirit-conscious. We are spirit beings, have a
soul and live in a body. Many people blame pastors for refusing to accept Jesus, joining a bible-believing
church as well as going to hell when they die. They want proofs that there is a God-before they believe in Je-
sus Christ. The great commission did not say, “go ye into the world and prove that there is a God. God has
proved his existence through nature. We were asked to preach the gospel-good news that, Jesus died to pay
for our sins, was buried and rose to save everybody.
Hebrews 11:6 says that, “he that comes to God, must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek Him.” People come to God with doubts, how can you go to somebody you do not trust for
salvation and healing? If people should miss heaven, the messenger cannot be blamed. How can one get faith?
Romans 10:17 says that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” When we need salvation,
health and blessing in any aspect of our lives, we need to take the bible, and search for the scriptures which
cover our case, in order to know the mind of God, and meditate on them long enough to build a strong foun-
dation for faith as well as agree with God on his promises. Looking at the concept and principles in Mark 11,
Hebrews 11 and Romans 10, we must try to internalize and live by God’s word. Sometimes, when our flesh
man dictates to our spirit man long enough, we become dominated by our flesh. In Galatians 5:16, Paul en-
courages us to walk in the Spirit, and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. When we do not conform to this world,
but get transformed by the renewing of our mind, through reading and meditating upon God’s word, the
Lord’s presence would make a difference in our attitude (Romans 12:2). To get the Spirit man to rule over the
flesh, Paul exhorts us to keep under our body, and bring it into subjection, lest by any means, when we have
preached to others, we ourselves should be cast away (1 Corinthian 9:27), and also to present our bodies as a
living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:2).
James says that, ‘we should be doers of the word, not hearers only.” Christians walk by physical and spiritual
senses. This world was created by God out of faith in His own Word-He spoke it into existence.
Shall we allow ourselves to be moved by the word of God we believe in, not only by what we see, hear or
feel? Proverbs 4:20-22 says we should attend to God’s Word; incline our hears unto God’s sayings.
Why? v.21- Let God’s words not depart from our eyes; keep God’s words in the midst of your heart.
Why? v.22- For God’s words are life unto those who find them, and healthy to all our flesh. Some translations
say, God’s words are medicine to all our flesh. Medicine on the shelf will not do us any good. Reading, study-
ing, memorizing and meditating on God’s word will move the mountains in our lives. Finally, Mark 11:23
says, “For verily I say unto you, That, whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou
cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come
to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Remain blessed!!!
