Background: High prevalence of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) risk factors has been
reported in Indonesia. High concentration of total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein
cholesterol (LDL-C), triglyceride (TG) and low concentration of high density
lipoprotein (HDL-C) indicate strong indication of CHD in individual in future life.
This study performed to evaluate lipid profile and their association in developing
CHD. Methods: A cross-sectional study design. Lipid profile data was collected from
patients above age of twenty from Januari to December 2017. The patient were
classified in five groups between 20-39(A), 40-49(B), 50-59(C), 60-69(D) and 70-
79(E). Lipid profile included TC, LDL-C, HDL-C and TG. Results: Present cross
sectional study result show that TG level mean of male groups B, C, D, E and female
groups C, D, E at high risk (>150 mg/dl) as well as HDL-C level in all mean group
also below (<60mg/dl). Conclusion: Statistical data indicates that both adult’s male
and female patient at high risk of heart diseases in future.
