2019 – 2020

Implementation
August Launch Power Up! Teachers will receive a brief overview over how this
microcredentials professional learning will work.
Immediately after the introduction, teachers will register for the
Schoology course, browse through the available modules, and start
working on their first module.
September Departments will dedicate at least one PLC session to Power Up in which
they will focus on content specific integration of the tools explored that
month.
A survey will be sent out to determine which 4 tools will be addressed at
the upcoming face-to-face session.
October The entire staff will meet for a face-to-face Power Up session in place of
a faculty meeting. The session will be divided in half, giving teachers the
opportunity to attend 2 of the 4 sessions being led by members of the
Techie Falcons.

May The entire staff will meet for a face-to-face Power Up session, which will
differ from previous face-to-face sessions. Rather than splitting up into
groups, we will all remain together. Techie Falcons will go over the end
of year report, celebrations, and present awards to teachers who have
been nominated by their fellow peers.
Teachers will continuously be awarded badges on Schoology as they complete modules. Teachers may also submit their
badges on Eduphoria for “off duty hours” throughout the year. Teachers will also be able to request additional help and
or guidance from the Techie Falcons as well as their peers.

Techie Falcons will meet after the face-to-face Power Up sessions to share updates, offer feedback, and discuss any
changes that may need to be implemented.
