Peace Church Council Meeting

Wednesday, February 21st, 2018, 6:30 pm

Present: Lexi Danner, Kim Lang, Todd Schneeberger, Lois Scherer, Bob Shervey, Joyce Han-
son, and Treasurer Sandy Kashmark. Absent: Pastor Sarah (vacation), Jim Johnson, and
Gaylene Hanson.

Joyce Hanson volunteered to serve as President of Peace Church Council for one year. Todd
Schneeberger was asked to serve as Vice President and Kim Lang as Secretary. Both agreed
to do so.

Joyce will ask Pastor Sarah for the new board member packets.

Due to the absence of Pastor Sarah, there was no Pastor’s report.

The February secretary’s report was approved. Motion by Kim, second by Lexi to accept.
MCU

Sandy Kashmark explained the treasurer’s report. A motion was made by Kim and seconded
by Lois to approve the transaction list. MCU A motion was made by Todd, seconded by Kim

Old Business:
Pastor’s contract was discussed.
Meetings with West and East Moe discussed.
Cancellation policy – there policy set but it was decided it was up to our Pastor to cancel
if roads are bad. We need to call radio and TV stations to notify cancellations. Todd will
check area roads.

New Business:
Council meetings and times - 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm
Discussed having council representatives on committees
Need to remember to have a council member that is under 30
Council training on February 24th. No one able to attend.
Synod Convention – Joyce will attend, need one more.
Easter services – Sunrise service at 7 am by Pastor Sarah, later service by John Zdrazil.
Need to set time of later service.
Confirmation will be held May 20th.

Motion by Lexi, seconded by Lois to adjourn at 8:10 pm.
