NOTIFICATION
No. -In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(1) of the Indian
Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 9(1) of the
Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955 and Rule
3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, the President is pleased
to appoint the following members of the State Civil Service of Punjab to the Indian
Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by Government of India under
Regulation 5(1) of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government for
the Select Lists of 2014, 2015 and 2016, on probation until further orders and to
allocate them to the Punjab Cadre, under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative
Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954:-
Select List 2014(Against vacancies arisen between 1.1.2014 to 31.12. 2014)
Select List 2015 (Against vacancies arisen between 1.1.2015 to 31.12. 2015)

The above appointments are subject to the outcome of the following CWPs filed before
the Hon'ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh:
The above appointments are also subject to the outcome of review of penalties in
respect of the eligible officers, if done by the State Government in the ratio of Order
dated 29.03.2017 of the Hon'ble High Court of Punjab & Haryana, Chandigarh in CWP
No. 10296/2013 filed by Shri J. P. Singh.
