of Maersk Drilling’s fully automated, Ultra Harsh environment Jack-Up rigs?

Reporting to the Technical Section Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the maintenance work is carried out and
documented in accordance with the requirements as specified in the Preventative Maintenance Programme and for the daily
activities of the technical section. This role has oversight of maintenance and project planning and the monitoring of critical
path activities, with a strong focus on leading the technical crew in their daily activities.  
 
This position is based on one of our Ultra Harsh environment, fully automated Jack-Ups in the UK North Sea on a 3:3 rotation.
 
Key Responsibilities  
 
 Specific tasks include but are not limited to the below:

Assist the Technical Section Leader in the performing of his duties and assume responsibility for individual activities
specified by the Technical Section Leader.
Immediately inform the Technical Section Leader of any deviations from specified performance parameters.  
Implementation of outstanding recommendations from equipment audits by customer, class or management.
When controlling the work of others you are responsible for the safety of the personnel working under your management.  
Be well acquainted with the legislation in respect of the working environment and safety, and ensure that this is applied in
the daily work on board.
Assist the Drilling Section with the maintenance of equipment when requested to do so.  
Assist other members of the technical department as required

Who we are looking for  


 

You are a Chief engineer or a Marine Engineer with STCW III/2 (unlimited) with a proven track record of excellence within the
technical section of offshore drilling operations.
You have extensive experience of leading maintenance crews offshore on a variety of different drilling units.
You have a strong team spirit with a high level of personal motivation to complete tasks.
You have excellent working knowledge of Maintenance Software Packages- ideally IFS, with strong computer skills.  
You come with a broad range of experience of drilling packages including NOV/VARCO
You have a strong working knowledge of Safety Case Regulations/Written Scheme of Verification  
You are self-confident, able to work under high pressure, and strongly committed to meeting your department’s deadlines.
You are a very self-disciplined person, who pays close personal attention to detail. High integrity and personal credibility are
also some of your key traits.
