Introduction : Cardiorespiratory endurance is the capability or the ability of the
cardiovascular system, blood vessels, lungs, bones, and muscles. Cardiorespiratory endurance is also influenced by the type of personality. Personality is all shades of individual behavior that is used to react and adopt any stimuli, both of which come form outside himself or his environment (external) or from within itself (internal), so that patterns of his behavior is and integral functional typical for that individuals. Objective : to know the difference the level of cardiorespiratory endurance between female students with personality type A and personality type B. Methods : this study use cross sectional method that was conducted in september-october 2016. Respondents of this study is female students of HKBP Nommensen University Medan in 2013, 2014,and 2015. Data was collected through questionnaries which have been tested for validity and reliability and treadmill test. The selection of this sample is purposive sampling. Result : the number of female students at University of HKBP Nommensen Medan who has personality type A more than personality type B as many as 51 people (62,2%). The level of cardiorespiratory endurance of female students at University of HKBP Nommensen Medan more included in the category of very poor as many as 34 people (41,5%). Statistical analysis showed significant difference between cardiorespiratory endurance levels among female college students to personality type A and type B personality at University of HKBP Nommensen Medan (p=0,029). Conclusion :there is a significant difference between level of cardiorespiratory endurance of female students with personality type A and personality type B in University of HKBP Nommensen Medan.
