It is a pleasure to share with you about the Commencement of our Final Placement and
Summer Internship Recruitment Drives for our 2018 & 2019 Batch of MBA students, and it
is our great privilege to invite you to visit Amrita University for Campus Placement Recruitment
Drives. We take this opportunity to introduce our University, our B-School, and our students.

At the Coimbatore campus of Amrita University, our Amrita School of Business is ranked among
the Top B-Schools in the country including IIMs. We offer a full-time 2-year residential MBA
program which provides students with the opportunity to pursue single or dual specialisations in
Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations and Business Analytics.

Our world-class faculty, from IIMs, Harvard, Berkeley, IITs, Cornell, Wharton, XLRI,
Kellogg and other prestigious universities, prioritise the development of leadership qualities in
our students. Their rich subject knowledge and vast experience gained from Fortune 500
companies provide a strong foundation in management. To ensure a solid sense of practical and
innovative application of principles, our faculty regularly integrates the case study method of
teaching.

As a member of AACSB, a gold standard for B-Schools the world over, our curriculum is
globally benchmarked against the best. For example, our curriculum includes a “Business
Research Project” (BRP) which provides each student with a unique opportunity to apply what
they have learned to solve real-life business problems, often in an actual business setting.

Last academic year we expanded our Analytics course offerings and introduced the Business
Analytics specialisation, thus equipping our students with analytical tools such as SPSS, SAS
and programming using R and Python. Our students are also provided industry certification from
IBM Business Analytics, SHRM, SAP ERP, Copal Amba, and Six Sigma, among others.

All of our students participate in the CAPSTONE Business Simulation Global Challenge, which
is a requirement in the Strategic Management course. In addition, many students participate in
other national competitions. Most recently ASB Coimbatore students won the Indian
Management Conclave 2015 Award.

In 2014 we launched an International Dual Degree program which offers student exchange
opportunities with TEM France (24th Ranked B-School in the world), University of Groningen,
Uppsala University and Deakin University. Most recently one of our students represented
India at the ESOMAR APAC 2015.
In addition, our School focuses on addressing questions and solutions that benefit both business
and society. For example, under the World Bank funded initiative India: e-Delivery of Public
Services, we were awarded a research grant to build an eGovernance Analytics Platform.

This past year, over 112 companies visited ASB during our placement season, with very
successful results including highest CTC of Rs 19.36 lakhs, 2 International and 16 Dual
placements. In tune with these global times, ASB Alumni can be found across the world in blue
chip multinationals like Apple, Google, TCS, Microsoft, Deloitte, PayPal, AOL, Ernest &
Young, and Jones Lang LaSalle etc. In 2015 an ASB graduate presented at the United Nations
conference on Technology for Sustainable Development.

educational backgrounds; nearly 30% of them have previous professional work experience.

Note: We have also started our recruitment drives for Summer Internships for the Batch 2017-
19. Summer Placements are an integral part of the curriculum that is highly valued and revered.
Our students spend their summers (2 months starting from April 2018) working as interns for
high profile organisations across the country and abroad, where they are exposed to the real
work culture. It would be a great privilege and learning exposure to our students to do an
internship in your organisation.
