Sir, Of late several complaints are being received from VIPs including Members of Parliament forwarding the grievance of members stating non-receipt of pension. On verification, the causes of grievances behind such non- receipt/belated receipt of pension turns out to be the belated submission of BRS alongwith the pension amount to the banks concemed. In all these cases had our office concerned followed the procedure mentioned in the Manual of Accounting Procedure Part-3 (Chapter-11 Para-11.5) the grievances could have been avoided. Therefore, it is hereby requested to strictly adhere to the guidelines laid down in the Manual of Accounting Procedure without giving room for any such avoidable grievance.
