It is used to produce air currents, that is, move the air for many different uses .
Including: ventilate the rooms inhabited , refresh objects or machines or to move
gases ( primarily air) by a system of pipes .

a ventilator is a machine that absorbs mechanical energy and transfers it to a gas ,


providing an increase in pressure , which results in a very small variation of the
specific volume and is often considered a hydraulic machine . It serves to move
the air and provide a pleasurable sensation to the human body .

Older fans were manual , such as abano or fan.


Industrially they used as evaporators and condensers

meters of air per second.
