Motown Museum has immediate positions available for Gallery Monitors

As a Gallery Monitor at Motown Museum, you are responsible for ensuring that our visitors
comply with the museum’s policies and procedures during their tour.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following skills:

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Able to tactfully address policy violations
 Willingness to take direction from supervisor
 Dependable
 Flexible
 Able to stand for extended periods of time

Training will be provided. The duration of this position is temporary to permanent and includes
weekends. We are currently seeking for volunteers to volunteer on Tuesday - Saturday. During
our peak season (May 1 – September 2), we are seeking Sunday coverage.

Our hours of operation are as follows:

September – April
Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

May – September
Tuesday – Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Hours of Coverage Needed: 2 – 6 hours on any given day.
