II. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students must be able to get 75% mastery level:
1. Identify words that produced sounds with /I/ and /iy/.
2. Read and pronounced words correctly by having the sounds /I/ and /iy/.
III. Procedure
1. Activity
The students are going to read the words that will be presented by the teacher on
the board. This will help the students to pronounce the words correctly. (See Act. 1
on the book page 4).
2. Analysis
The teacher will discuss about words that produced sounds /I/ and /iy/ by doing
activities 2, 3 and 4 on the book page 4.
3. Abstraction
Let the students complete the sentence on the book by choosing the correct word
given to each item. (See activity 5 on the book).
4. Application
Let the students read the passage in activity 7 on the book page 5. Let them
pronounced the words that produced the sounds /I/ and /iy/.

IV. Evaluation
Students will identify words that does not belong to the group that has a different vowel
sound. They will pick out the word and tell what vowel sound it has. Let them also tell what
vowel sound do the other words have. (See Activity 8 on the book page 6).

V. Assignment
List at least 10 words that produced the sounds /I/ and /iy/.
