OBJECTIVE
1. Use comma and punctuate correctly.

1. Teacher recalls pupils’ previous knowledge about food.


2. Teacher shows few samples of food packages to the pupils and asks them
to name the source of the food.
3. Pupils identify the source of the food according to its category-plants, trees
or animals by completing a table for food sources on the board.
ACTIVITIES 4. Pupils read out the dialogues with correct stress (Textbook, page 12).
5. Teacher highlights the usage of comma in the sentences and explains
about it.
6. Teacher calls out pupils to punctuate the sentences written on the board
using comma (Textbook, page 12)
7. Pupils read out the sentences with correct stress (Choral reading/
Individual reading).

OBJECTIVE 1. Recite and perform poems with guidance paying attention to pronounciation,
rhythm and intonation.

1. Teacher recalls previous lesson.


2. Teacher put up a poem chart (as on Textbook, page 16) on the board.
3. Teacher shows picture cards and asks the pupils to match the pictures with

4. Pupils read the poem without using rhythm and intonation.
5. Teacher teaches the pupils to recite the poem with correct pronunciation,
rhythm and intonation.
6. Divide class into four groups and guide them to prepare for their performance.

2. Teacher explains about the singular and plural nouns to the pupils by using

3. Teacher drills the pupils to add –s or –es for the plural nouns.
4. Next, teacher introduces -ies and -ves as in strawberries and leaves.
5. Pupils complete the exercise given (Activity Book, page 14)

6. Teacher introduces the sentence strips on how to ask and answer about
