ABSTRACT

Migration means movement of people from one place to another for fulfillment of
their needs. All human beings whosoever existed in the world wanted to live happily
The meaning of happiness is very subjective, for some people it might be having I
-Phone and for some people it might be having proper meal for a day. Everyone has to
work for fulfillment of their happiness.
In olden days, people started migrating from one place to another place for food and
some other needs. Now in the name of globalization opportunities are scattered all
around especially in urban cities. In India, agriculture and lots of professions in
villages have been faded away by the technology and due to lack of concern towards
them. In that process, they were exploited by the contractors especially children and
rural women. This project analyzes the international mechanism for the welfare and
protection of migrant workers all over the world. In Andhra Pradesh, farmers and
labourer etc from Anantapur and kadapa migrated to Bangalore, gulf & Arabian
countries etc. this project extensively deals migrant workers of Andhra Pradesh and
Telengana, and how they are facing worse conditions in other states and countries.
This critically analyzes the inter-state migrant workmen (regulation and conditions of
service) act, 1979 and what is lacuna in that legislation. This project also deals with
what are the remedial measures for upbringing the migrant workers in India.
