Reporting Startup, Warranty, or Quality Issues

Field Service Bulletin

If reporting an issue with a machine startup, warranty, or possible quality issue, please provide
sufficient information for the factory to enable them to make a thorough investigation. We want
to determine root causes of these failures and we often have difficulty obtaining specific
information. Please help us to improve. A few examples are:

Coolant leak:
Provide positive identification of the leak.
The best way to do this is to provide a leak chart.
A screen shot of a parts manual page will suffice.
Or a picture pointing to the leak inside the machine.
If it is a loose connection, let us know if the fittings have any torque marks and it they were lined
up.
If a hose is leaking, please let us know if it is leaking from the swivel, the end fitting, or through
the hose material.
If a cooler is leaking, please mark the suspected area with chalk or a marking pencil of some
type. Let us know if it is from a weld area or the tube bundle/fin area.

Drive Issues:
We will need the serial number of the drive. If there is a P/N° on it, please provide that, as well.
If it is a programming issue (blower drive,) let us know which parameters had to be changed,
the original value, and the value you changed the parameter to.
Wiring Issues:
Provide wire number(s) and terminal connections.
Let us know the exact issue:
Was the wire loose and came free with a tug test?
Was the end of the wire not properly stripped?
Was it hanging and not even in the terminal connection?
Possible Shipping Damage:
It is important to provide pictures of the damage.
Please check the packing for signs of rough handling.
Close-up pictures do not let us know which panel the damage is on. Please identify the
damaged panel.
Controller Issues:
Provide the version software that was installed.
If there are loose connections, provide wire number and connection point (i.e. P3, pin 2.)
Provide a list of the faults and the readings at the time of the faults.
NOTE: We always need machine model and serial number. Please use your technology and
take pictures of the issue or damage.
Always feel free to offer your opinion or assessment of the root cause. The more
information you provide, the better our investigation will be. We investigate every issue that is
sent to us.
