ANALYSIS THE EFFECT OF GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE

AGAINST THE SPREAD PATTERN OF GEOTHERMAL
MANIFESTATION RA FIELD

The research area is located at RA field. This research emphasis on geological structure
to find the relationship between the structure against the geothermal manifestations and
geothermal systems of the area, the study was conducted by satellite imagery.
Geomorphology and lithology map can help the research. The method used to find the
geological structure is FFD (Fault Fracture Density) method using the satellite image by
using DEM data which helps in taking the fault line and the major fault directions in the
area. In the kinematic analysis, field data are required such as fracture data which is a
secondary data. This data will be analyzed through stereonet to determine the fault
kinematic. There are several fault structures that do not have fracture data so, it will
using the fault kinematic around it. After getting structure map, then it can make
geological map. On the geological map, it can do the analysis of the relationship
between the structure of the spread pattern of geothermal manifestations. With the data
obtained, geothermal systems from the surface can be made and models of geothermal
systems in cross section can be made, it still in form of interpretation and more research
is needed.
