Please logon SIP server, and go to the folder shown in the picture below to
download the Win7 Tool CD v9.3 image.

Instruction:
1. Unzip BT.zip file, and copy BT.exe utility to a bootable USB dongle
2. Boot up to DOS mode with the dongle
3. Type the command in DOS prompt  bt /w 27 XX
Where XX is Win7 SKU code, please refer to the following table
to choose the code based on the Win7 version you intend to install.

Rebuilding Win7 hidden partition:


Step1:
Find a notebook that has Windows operating system, boot up Windows, and
unzip 64Driverpqa.zip compressed file into “C:\”.

Step2:
Insert the correct model Driver CD of the targeted NB, under C:\64Driverpqa
enter Driver64.bat, and this will create a driver64.pqa file to the folder
C:\New_PQA.

NOTE: ODD drive must be set as “e:\”, if not please configure it in


control panel other wise error will be expected.

Step3:
Copy driver64.pqa file into an external HDD or burn the driver64.pqa file into
an empty disc.

Step4:
Insert and boot up the system by Tool CD v9.3

Step5:
When DOS box prompt appears, please type command “ascreatehidden”
and input the partition size 20GB~22GB.

Step6:
After formatting, take out Tool CD and put Win7 RCD in , and copy
ASUS.SWM & ASUS2.SWM and ASUS3,SWM files to “S:\” ( hidden drive )

Step7:
Remove Win7 RCD, copy driver64.pqa (either from external HDD or disc
containing the driver.pqa ) file into C:\fac directory.
Also copy Patch64_Win7.wim, Addon64_Win7.wim, ChkSW.wim into
C:\fac directory. Patch64_Win7.wim, Addon64_Win7.wim, ChkSW.wim
can be downloaded from SIP.

Step7.1: (Important)
Please add the PQA/WIM according PQA list, the download path as below.
Different RCD needs to add different PQA/WIM files. (For WIM file, you
don’t need to change its file name)

Incorporating specified pre-load applications into hidden partition:


1) Download pre-load PQA files from SIP:

Download pqa/wim files from directory respectively:


2) Remember to rename PQA files copying to c:\fac. (You don’t need to rename
WIM files)
3) Copy all renamed PQA files to c:\fac directory
Important: The preload PQA file has its SKU# ( ex: xxxx_C.pqa ,where C is SKU#)
you have to use the same SKU# of Win7 RCD for building hidden partition

Step8:
Under the directory of C:\fac, create a file of “os.tag” by the following command.
Enter copy con os.tag, press Enter twice then press “Ctrl + Z”
Then press Enter to complete.

Step9:
Please press “Exit” to reboot the system and start to install the OS

Step10:
When screen show “Pass”, it is finished.
Press power button to shut down your system.

Preparation:
Hardware preparation: A new empty disk (DVD), a bootable USB flash or HDD
(at least 25 GB storage.)
Software preparation: Please download the software from: http://sip.asus.com

1. HDI_Tool CD: Please burn the following software to the empty disk.

2. Image Files: Copy the image files to the USB/HDD, please notice the
corresponding language and version (or some special Tender version.) Please
refer the excel file to find the image file. (Reference)

3. Driver WIM Files: Please check the model name and operating system
version if it is 64 bit or 32 bit, then copy all the WIM files to the USB/HDD.

P.S Some models don’t have operating system for 32 bit version.

Process of HDI hidden partition:
Step1. Put the HDI_Tool into ODD, and then press ESC to the following screen
and boot on from ODD.

Step2. After the first step, you will see the following windows. Please enter the
command “AsDiskLayout” then press Enter.

There is a screen which is for setting up the storage of Hidden Space will show,
the default storage is 25GB and it can’t be changed. After that, the screen will
back to the last view.

Step3. Plug the USB/ HDD in, and then find the correct Disk code.

(For searching the code, please enter “DISKPART” command first.


Add the command “LIST VOL” to show all Disk codes list, please check the
correct USB/HDD code. After checking the code, please enter EXIT.)

P.S If you can’t find the USB/HDD code, please enter command “RESCAN” to
find the disk again.

Step4. Copy the Driver*.wim files into C:\FAC, the files name should be
Driver64.wim or Driver32.wim.

Step5. Copy Windows SWM files into C:\ , the files name are asus.swm,
asus2.swm …, please make sure all files has been copied into C:\. (The file
amount will be different by the operating system version.)

Step6. After copying all files, please remove the USB/HDD and enter command
EXIT. The system will restart and install the operating system automatically,
please wait until the process done. (It is normal if system restarts for many time.)

Step7. After all process finish, the screen will show the following screen “PASS”,
please press ENTER key and the system will keep installing. Please DON’T
force machine to shut down.
