Mission Statement
To provide future growth and preservation plans to
citizens, so that they can enjoy a Chester County that is
historic, green, mobile and prosperous.
Vision
To bring a balance between managed growth and
preservation in the county. This will be accomplished
through carrying out the recommendations of Table of Contents
Landscapes2, the county comprehensive policy plan.
Initiatives
The county championed three major initiatives 5 Who we are
to balance the vision of managing growth and
preservation, while maintaining the quality of life and
sense of place enjoyed by residents.

Planning Commission
The Chester County Planning Commission is a
nine-member advisory board appointed by the Board of
County Commissioners.
