Teachers will be dressed as a caterpillar and a butterfly to engage the students and give them an idea of what
the lesson will be about. Students will be introduced to metamorphosis with a lesson and an activity. The lesson
will start with a video to engage the students and show a brief process of metamorphosis. After, the students
will be shown the process more in depth, while keeping it simple. There will be a dance and a song taught and
reviewed to help the students remember the information being taught. The closure will be a paper plate activity
where the students will show their understanding of the process of metamorphosis.

Students will be introduced to the life cycle of a caterpillar to a butterfly (metamorphosis) and apply their
understanding by constructing a model.
