Title
Compare the production of electricity between 2D and 3D solar
cell electricity booster.

Objective
To find out the effectiveness of 3D solar cell in producing
electricity.

Question
To study the effect of the surface area of solar cell in electricity
production.

Hypothesis
3D solar cell produces more electricity than 2D solar cell.

Variables
Manipulative Variables : Types of solar cell
Responding Variables : Amount of electricity produced
Constant Variables : Size of solar cell, source of energy

Materials
Solar cells, wire (black and red), solar car, metre ruler,
stopwatch.
Procedure
1. Solar cell was fixed in solar car.
2. Black and red wires were used to connect solar car with
2D solar cell.
3. Under straight sunlight, even surface floor was identified
to conduct the experiment.
4. The time taken by the solar car to reach 100cm was
recorded using stopwatch.
5. Step 1-5 were repeated by using 3D solar cell car.

Average value used to get speed of the solar cell car by using
this formula:

a) Speed of 2D solar cell car b) Speed of 3D solar cell car

= 100 ÷ 3.67 = 100 ÷ 2.25

= 27.25 cm/s = 44.44 cm/s

Discussion
3D solar cell car was taken less time to reach 100cm distance
than 2D solar car. It shows that speed of 3D solar cell car is
higher than 2D solar cell car. %

Conclusion
3D solar cell produces more electricity than 2D solar cell.
