Learning Activities:

 W, H: Introduce the topic and story of the week. Show a video about the Court System.

 E, R: Phonological Awareness: Work in five groups, each with a VCe spelling pattern.
Students will brainstorm words with the pattern and list them on a sheet of construction
paper. Display the posters. The group with the most words will be the spelling winner.
Play Tic Tac Toe with spelling words on the white board. (Workbook page 15 and 18)

 O, E, R: Vocabulary: Complete sentence frames for each vocabulary word. Work in
small groups to look for the definition of the vocabulary words in their book’s glossary.
