PROCEDURE

Activity 1- Warming- up

The Teacher greets the class and Students greet back. The Teacher introduces herself and then
she asks Students’ names. The Teacher makes informal conversation. Students are receptive and
answer the Teacher’ s questions and demands.

Activity 2- Introducing new vocabulary

The Teacher shows Students a picture of a farm. She tells Students to look at the picture and to
guess where it is from. Then she asks what animals live on a farm. She introduces the new
vocabulary from the lesson.

Activity 3- Matching

The Teacher gives Students some worksheets and tells them what they have to do: with her help,
they have to complete the names of the animals and then to match the names with the pictures.
After that, the Teacher checks their answers.

Activity 4- Numbers and animals

The Teacher asks Students to remember numbers 1- 5. They repeat them together. Then they
receive a worksheet with numbers 1- 5 and some animals. Students have to number the animals
and to draw lines to the correspondent animals. Students solve the task and check it with the
whole class.

Activity 5- Playing a game

The Teacher presents a hand puppet called Patch. She then explains the rules of the game: she
imitates a sound of an animal, and Students try to guess the animal. They use the structure: It’ s a
…. Students who complete the task well receive a smiling face.

Activity 6- Let’ s colour!

The Teacher gives each Student a worksheet with farm animals. Students repeat the animals
again and the Teacher tells Students to colour the page.

The Teacher plays a song on the computer and then she repeats the new words with the Students.
After that, they sing it together with the computer.
