to specific needs. With the goal to provide each of these
demands, Altus offers an exclusive combination of products
that combine high performance and competitiveness.
To meet the vast array of existing applications in the market,
the company offers products and solutions in four levels of
automation.
Start Automation
The entry segment is composed by highly functional
products, targeted to small sized automation systems with
limited I/O points.
For applications with higher complexity, Altus offers products
in additional three levels of automation that provide the right
solution for all needs.
Basic Automation
For small projects, but requiring higher connectivity, higher
numbers of points and often in a distributed architecture on
site.
Professional Automation
Products for medium sized automation systems with high
performance needs, higher connectivity and large I/O
distribution points on site.
Premium Automation
This category is composed by equipment oriented for medium
and large complex projects, with high availability, multiple
controllers and redundant networks.
 MasterTool
MasterTool is the standard programming software for Altus
main products series. Available in three different versions
– MasterTool IEC (DUO), MasterTool XE (Ponto/AL/PX) and
MasterTool IEC XE (Nexto) – the system offers modern and
intuitive features for applications programming, debugging,
configuration and simulation. The system is a complete tool for
managing all stages of a project life cycle, ensuring efficiency
along its development, commissioning and maintenance. The
only series that does not use MasterTool is FBS Series, which
requires an own tool called WinProladder.
MasterTool IEC and MasterTool IEC XE were designed in
accordance to IEC 61131-3 and count on features such
as simulation and integrated configuration, which lowers
engineering and commissioning costs.
So far, MasterTool IEC XE features modern and customizable
interface due to docking functions. It allows users to configure
bars, tools and menu structures, providing a differentiated
experience during development. Object oriented,
programming is graphical and friendly, with advanced edition

resources, integrating application software, fieldbuses and
process networks in only one interface.
The product allows collaborative development with various
users on the same application, rights management and
access to the source code as well as site controllers.

Nexto Series is an advanced automation system, capable

of controlling, on a distributed and redundant way, complex
industrial processes, machines and high performance
production lines.
Integrating functions found on Distributed Control Systems
(DCS), Nexto Series has features for all steps of the
application’s life cycle with integrated configuration and
programming environment (IEC 61131-3), enhancing
development and reducing engineering and commissioning
costs.
Its architecture allows easy integration with the most
traditional supervisory systems, as well as redundancy of
CPUs, power supply units and supervision networks, control

for processes or small installations. FBs Series CPUs are
available in three classes: MA (Economy), MC (Standard)
and MN (Motion Control). They allow up to 512 digital I/O
points and 128 analogue I/O points, in addition to main
open protocols, through their communication ports.

A PLC with integrated Human-Machine Interface (HMI),

The programming software has been developed in

Training Box is a complete solution, addressed to didactic
purposes, its features enable users to simulate industrial,
building and machine automation systems. Yet, by being
compact, portable and easy to use, the equipment is perfect
for research laboratories in companies, teaching institutes,
training rooms or engineering and automation departments.
Composed by a rugged case, an internal metal structure and
other components, Training Box is easy to carry and store.
Its best feature is the use of Altus Programmable Controllers,
combined with a dedicated circuit to provide exercises and
control simulation of digital and analog signals, including
closed PID loops.
The programming software is free and offers 6 programming
languages, (IEC 61131-3), the Series features application
simulation resources, which exempts use of product for
application development and tests.

Altus power multimeter, part of Phase Series, measures
and monitors electrical parameters, making available more
than 60 parameters in real time, among: voltage, currents,
potencies and energy. The equipment offers connectivity
through serial port and enables remote monitoring of power
consumption in several applications, such as industries,
residential condominiums, commercial and shopping
centers. It features the largest LCD display in the market,
indicating five parameters simultaneously. In addition, it offers
an expansion choice, with connectivity possibility on Ethernet
and PROFIBUS-DP networks, mass memory and harmonics
analyzer or yet, modules with digital outputs.
