A gift was given in your name to help pay the bail of Black mothers in Riker's Island so they may leave jail and rejoin their families where they belong. Thousands of mothers across New York are languishing in jail because they cannot pay bail, even though they have not been conwicted of the crimes they are accused of. Every day that a mother remains in jail ation of her life and the lives of her children. We increases the destal hope to one day abolish the money bail system that tears families apart.
