Save the Date for the 14th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival,
organized by the East End Arts Council!
Sunday, May 30, 2010 12:00-5:00 p.m.
Rain Date May 31.

Historic Main street in Riverhead will be closed to cars for our free-admission
community arts festival! In Rennaisance Italy, artists would decorate the public
squares in front of cathedrals during feast days with colorful pastel drawings often
depiciting the Madonna - these painters became known as the Madonnari. Fast
forward to modern times, and the internatinal art of Madonnari now includes
fantastic 3-D sidewalk art creations, such as those by North Fork artist Ron Tryton.
You, too can be a Madonnari artist at the Community Mosaic Street
Painting Festival!
Street painting • Artists • Fine arts & crafts sale • Vendors •
Live music • Food • Community Drumming Circle • Fun for the whole family!
For more information, or to sponsor/reserve a business or family sidewalk square,

events coordinator Jean Caiola at jcaiola@eastendarts.org
