10. To express the meaning of spoken simple short functional text and monologue in the form
of descriptive and procedure to interact with the closest environment and in academic
context.

12. To express the meaning of written simple short functional text and monologue in the form
of descriptive and procedure to interact with the closest environment and in academic
context.
B. Basic Competence
10.1. To express the meaning of spoken simple short functional text accurately, fluently and
acceptable to interact with the closest environment and in academic context.

C. Instructional Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:
1. Perform a monologue in the form of descriptive text.
2. Compose a short descriptive text based on the situation given.

1. Identify some information in a monologue in the descriptive.
2. Identify some adjectives found in the monologue.
3. Describe certain place, person and thing well.
4. Perform a monologue in front of the class.
5. Compose a short descriptive text.
E. Instructional Material
1. Some words related to descriptive text such as, big, tall, clean, fat, Etc.
2. A monologue in the form of descriptive text.

An example of descriptive text.

My School
My school name is Junior High school 1 Kuningan. It is at Siliwangi street number 74. It is a
good school. It has many facilities. It has twenty five classrooms, three laboratories, a library,
a teacher room and a headmaster room. There is a parking area near the scurity office. There
is a beautiful garden in the centre of school. There are also 8 toilets, a computer room, a
small mosque, sport hall. I love my school
.

Pre activity
1. Greeting
2. Checking the class attendance
3. Recalling the previous activity.
Main Activities
1. Brainstorming the words related to descriptive text.
2. Arranging some sentences by using these words.
3. Given an oral monologue, the students are asked to identify some adjectives in the
monologue.
4. The students are asked to find the information from the monologue.
5. In pairs, the students are asked to describe each other orally.
6. In turn, the students perform their description in front of the class.
Post activities
1. The students give the feedback to the activities today.
2. The teacher gives the reinforcement.
3. Giving task to the students to do at home
“ Describe one of your family! Write it on a piece of paper, enclose with the picture! The
complete task is submitted on the next week.
