Curriculum Mapping:

A pre-test will be given to access the level of each returning student along with new students. Once the
lesson is taught a post-test is given as a measure of growth.
 Having some knowledge of their personal information
 Having some knowledge of reading an analog clock
 Knowing and identifying the alphabets
 Identify community and survival signs
 Identify some coins
 Basic keyboarding using technology

Working with special needs students the same informant is given. Maybe in a
different order based on the needs of the students. Repetition is essential when working with individual
with special needs, due to their cognitive ability.
 Telling time using an analog clock
 Counting money coins and bills
 Write a complete sentence
 Ability say or write personal information correctly
 The ability to set-up multiple step math problems
 Keyboarding using technology

By the end of the school year the students will have a vast knowledge of what was
taught early in the school year. Some faster than others, overall, they would have
moved from where the started to having some skills to advocate somewhat for themselves.
First Semester:

Second Semester:
Learn to fill out medical form and job application

in the students learning.

The curriculum will assist the students in their daily lives during high school where they can carry these skills
over to adulthood. The basic skills of teaching the individuals about the basic skills they will use daily.
Personal hygiene, shopping for themselves, cooking and light household duties.
The Remedia Publication Inc., has been approved by both national and state level of standers required for
students with a disability. The student will be quizzed on their ability to preform these skills. Either by
demonstrating how a particular task is to be carried out, verbally, written based on each person ability to
complete the task.

The importance of having a lesson prepared is because you never know when you may have to have a
substitute. She or he should be able to just pick-up and teach from your prepared lesson. A power point is a
way the students can learn more about the reason they are out of school along with incorporating keyboard
technology into their lessons.
