Re: Dean H. Malik, Esquire – [last-gasp]

For those who yearn for another two-page follow-up assessment of the GOP-Primary in CD-1, this is it.
You have received the “History” [subjective], the “Physical” [objective], the “Assessment” and the “Plan”;
you have also received initial and subsequent follow-ups, explaining why Brother Brian merits support.
Just published was an op-ed [composed by moi], the earlier draft of which was revamped @ the request
of the editor [although some people who pre-viewed it enjoyed some of the puns embedded therein];
also in the Courier-Times were an article about the debate and an opinion-piece generated thereafter,
both of which prompted additional comments to be added, so as to clarify what seems to be afoot. THUS,
the title of the essay by J.D. Mullane appears to succinctly summarize the salient features of this conflict:

A divided Republican Party needs MAGA hats to win

This was particularly evident after having listened to Brother Brian shift subtly to the “right,” particularly
regarding Comey [during the Monday-p.m. meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition; I’m in the photo,
in the foreground monitoring e-mail/Facebook, although I can’t ID the baldspot following careful exam
[suggesting glare rather than aging, although perhaps some hair-thinning has gradually transpired].
Instead of recapitulating the analyses provided previously and on the three Courier-Times pages, it should
suffice to conclude that “Fitz” [the appellation that some feel is more endearing than the one I’d coined,
“Brother Brian”] will have survived this mini-challenge during a surprisingly lackluster primary-campaign.

This conclusion is vulnerable to the claim that it has been reached by-default by a disgruntled ex-Treasurer;
nevertheless, “It is what it is” because all available public/private information has been processed, and
careful composition has distinguished facts/opinions while extensive disclaimers have been provided.
Enthusiasm for this posture would be enhanced were the Incumbent to shift multiple positions to match
the viewpoint of the Candidate, but his ability to be re-elected will determine whether all four “collar”
counties [around Philly] flip from R → D [as is increasingly being predicted by pundits, local and national].
It appears that Dean Malik was simply the wrong person to emerge as competition to Brian Fitzpatrick.

That Dean only received one endorsement from an elected official [the Mayor of Riegelsville] highlights
the absence of any other public support; esprit d’corps is hardly enhanced by a lame fight-song, when rally
turn-out remains mired in “dozens” instead of “hundreds” and he stages mock-protests when excluded
from speaking to Republicans [which occurred this past Saturday in Warminster]. Death-twitches are
evident when Dean Malik for Congress mocks a well-respected elective official [“This is because they
elected a Republican in Name Only for mayor”]; what started as an above-the-fray critique of “No Labels”
Independence devolved into ANGER. Brother Brian’s website has notably not deleted negative/emotional
comments, prompting me to write: “It is remarkable that the above comments have been retained, despite
their bitter underpinnings; that the critics of Brother Brian have not specified policy-concerns is telling...but,
per prior conversations, it is helpful that Dean pledged to unite behind the probable-winner.” Lamentably,
“I helped to create a monster-candidacy; I should have been concerned for what I wished before I got it.”

Therefore, referencing prior “irritation” triggered by my too-sudden departure from the Malik initiative
[documented thoroughly/scrupulously, previously], efforts to rectify conflict have been abandoned:

—Apologize for trying to control behavior that would violate the Gale/Malik Pact.
—Acknowledge the sudden cessation of communications reflected "over-reach."
—Restore the ex-Treasurer to myriad supposedly-open Facebook-sites ASAP.
—Remit $100 to "make me whole" [seed-$ = $2500, not $2400], per Dr. Duome.
—Provide promised-input [three months remote] regarding freedom-of-speech.
—Send letter to all volunteers rescinding claim that the Treasurer had been “Removed.”

My political sentiments were congealed in a posting referencing the evolution of the National Review:

In the interest of full-disclosure, it is desirable to review seriatim these essays from a

magazine/e-zine that condemned The Donald two years ago [falsely, as it turned-out] for
not being a “true” conservative. Threaded throughout is recognition that this
“Conservative ↔ Republican” Dynamic has been probed throughout the post-World
War II era; nevertheless, The Donald’s activities have focused the debate as never before
experienced because, arguably, his brand of populist-conservatism implements what the
band of true-conservatives have claimed to have sought. The pace-of-events may not
satisfy idealists and the distracting tweets may upset the purists, but the check-offs of
achievements simply can’t be denied; as a guiding-light, simply monitor the veracity of
quotes [a.k.a. “leaks”] c/o Ms. KellyAnne Conway.
