Antecedentes
El inglés es la lengua más hablada en todo el mundo, y por eso permite relacionarse a
personas de los más diversos orígenes. Gracias a él, podemos acceder a un vasto mundo
cultural y científico que nos permite ampliar nuestros horizontes. Es por eso que en los
últimos años el sistema educativo ecuatoriano ha enfatizado en la enseñanza de este
idioma en todos los niveles, haciéndolo incluso obligatorio para aquellos que quieran
obtener sus carreras en tercer y cuarto nivel; sin embargo, es muy conocido que la gran
mayoría de la población del país no domina sino sólo rudimentos del inglés. Por este
motivo, el presente curso pretende introducir a la población adulta en el aprendizaje de
esta segunda (o tercera) lengua a través de una metodología diseñada especialmente
para ella, y así contribuir a la consecución de sus metas profesionales.

Objetivos
General: Al finalizar el curso el estudiante es capaz de comprender frases y
expresiones de uso frecuente relacionadas con áreas de experiencia que le son
especialmente relevantes (información básica sobre sí mismo, sobre el lugar de
trabajo y su familia, compras, lugares de interés, ocupaciones, etc.). Sabe
comunicarse a la hora de llevar a cabo tareas simples y cotidianas que no
requieran más que intercambios sencillos y directos de información sobre
cuestiones que le son conocidas o habituales. Sabe describir en términos
sencillos aspectos de su pasado y su entorno así como cuestiones relacionadas
con sus necesidades inmediatas.

Específicos:
Hablar
Comunicarse en tareas sencillas y habituales que requieren un intercambio
simple y directo de información sobre actividades y asuntos cotidianos. Realizar
intercambios sociales muy breves y comprender lo suficiente como para
mantener una mínima conversación.
Escuchar
Comprender frases y el vocabulario más habitual sobre temas de interés
personal (información personal y familiar muy básica, compras, lugar de
residencia, empleo).
Leer
Leer textos muy breves y sencillos. Encontrar información específica y predecible
en escritos sencillos y cotidianos como anuncios publicitarios, prospectos, menús
y horarios y comprendo cartas personales breves y sencillas.
Escribir
Escribir notas y mensajes breves y sencillos relativos a necesidades inmediatas.

Número de horas: 40 presenciales


Perfil del participante:
 Personas mayores de edad.
 Con conocimientos nulos y muy reducidos del inglés.
 Tiene predisposición para el aprendizaje de un idioma.

Metodología
 CLIL. Inglés basado en contenidos. Uso del idioma en contextos familiares y
adecuados al perfil del participante.
 Énfasis en el uso hablado del idioma y en la escucha de hablantes nativos por
medio de audios.
 Expresión oral como eje transversal del curso para perder el miedo a hablar en
otro idioma.
 Evaluación continua
 Desarrollo del hábito de autoformación continua por medio de tareas cortas,
sencillas pero significativas.
 Uso de multimedia para reforzar lo aprendido.

Evaluación
 Realización de exámenes escritos basados en las cuatro habilidades lingüísticas.
 Actividades específicas desarrolladas en cada clase.
 Test de medio término final en base a los objetivos
