Intention: Based on my own feelings and emotions, each pill represents a
random person that we may come across during our years in high school and
college and how these relationships with us can be a positive or negative
thing. Once schooling is over, we may sometimes never see these
individuals again, thus symbolizing that the party is over once high school
and college are over.
Intention: This piece tackles on the theme regarding the current state of
education. The pencil going through the textbook is to symbolize the dangers
and addictions of overworking and studying. It can destroy personal
relationships, push an individual to the breaking point and, if not detected
sooner, can lead to death.
Title: The Fruit That Ate Itself

Intention: Using the same technique of minimalism as in my last piece, I
decided to use the Bolivian currency to form the shape of the dollar system.
Blood is used to symbolize how individuals are willing to kill others for the
sake of making money and to symbolize as well the corruption that lays
behind world economies.
Intention: The burnt Barbie dolls represent the self destruction and length
certain women are willing to go through if it means they can viewed as
beautiful. The fruit within the piece is to represent the purity and soul of each
individual but if no one is there to appreciate it, it eventually erodes and eats
itself.

Title: Colony Technology

Medium: Sculpture, wooden board, broken cellphone, miniature figures,

popsicle stick

Size: 31x23.9 cm

Intention: The piece is designed as a ceremonial tribute with the indigenous

figures representing humanity’s role as mortals deifying an object of
importance. Those nearest to the phone are looking at the object in awe. The
outer circle shows another group of people this time lying atop their backs.
This is to demonstrate the dangers regarding technology.
