Diana Park
Recruiting Manager
95 John Muir Drive, Suite 100
Amherst, NY 14228

Dear Ms. Park:

I am interested in the Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position you currently
have open. I have learned of this opening Sunday, April 22 on LinkedIn jobs. Even though I have
little to no experience as a travel labor and delivery registered nurse, I am open to learning new
skills, and make a difference in the nursing field that would make me a strong candidate for this
position.
Now, I understand that I may not be the best possible applicant to fill this position, but
this position would give me insight on the requirements I need when applying for other nursing
positions. The little experience that I do have with labor and delivery nursing is when my mother
was giving birth to my little brother. I got to witness the long hour shifts, monitor the baby’s
heart rate and the mother’s blood pressure, time contractions, and even identify and assist with
complications. Through this experience, I learned what it really takes to be a labor and delivery
and I concluded that I am capable of such position in the future.

As of right now, I currently work in a restaurant as a Prep Cook and the restaurant works
at a fast pace, with being able to have to ability to multitask and plan accordingly for the
unexpected with effective communication skills. All these qualities I know is needed to be a
registered nurse and I believe my current employment has prepared me for what’s to come. I
believe that degrees and certifications are not the only requirements to show that you are ready
for the field of study you went to school for, but rather the dedication, and willingness to learn
and that I was I am willing to do whether I am a certified registered nurse or not.

I am very interested in this nurse position and the opportunity to work at Supplemental
Health Care. May I have an interview with you to further discuss the position and my
requirements and qualifications? You may contact me at (301) 408-8685, or at the address at the
top of this letter. It would be a pleasure to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Britanya Clarke
