Teaching/Learning Strategies:
 Introduce employability skills through use of overheads.
 Handout Employability Skills Checklist
 Distribute copies of Employability Skills Profile 2000+. Using this chart, review its structure and
organization of employability skills. Discuss the background and rationale for this resource, authored by
The Conference Board of Canada.
 Hand out copies of Employability Skills Profile in Classroom Language and ask students to complete it.
 Distribute the Employability Skills Quiz activity sheets and the score sheet Identifying Your Skills - What
Do I Do Now? Ask students to work individually to complete and score the questionnaires on Personal
Management Skills, Teamwork Skills and Fundamental Skills/Academic Skills.
